Sometimes life isn’t always as smooth as we would like. It certainly doesn’t always go as plan, even when we do everything we can to insure it goes our way. In fact, if your life is anything like mine, it can get more than a little bit bumpy! Forget bumpy – how about scary!
Health, Finances, Relationships, Trouble from without, trouble from within….And let us not forget one of the biggest dangers of all – people in general. When you put all those together and then add the biggest danger of all – self – life can become a bit overwhelming. Before we can cross over Jordan we need to remember what the Lord said to Joshua in Joshua 1:6 “Be strong and courageous…” God changed it a bit in verse 7 ” Be strong and very courageous.
When you cross a bridge on your journey of life and all you can see are alligators, remember what the Lord said in Psalm 91:14-16 “Because he loves me, say the Lord, I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.
And to top it off let us not forget what Jesus said in Matt 28:20, “Surely I am with you always, even until the end of time.”

With todays society it seems it’s “allegators” vs Christians. I’m sure we glad we have Christ as our “hand hold” on those bridges. You can tell, I liked the picture and anology. Good article. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Sue. You’re right about today’s society. It seems it is getter worse every day. Just proves how the Bible is the perfect Word of God. The Book of Revelation becomes clearer and clearer each day. Thank God for our wonderful Hand Holder. 🙂

Thank you Pastor Jim for your words of encouragement. Too often we forget how much our wonderful Lord has control of everything. He works it all out. All I have to do is surrender to Him and He takes care of every situation. Thank you Jesus.

Thanks, Elder Pat. Surrendering to him is the key. Then, everything else falls into place.
